Schedule

The Composing Innovation Camp is an exciting summer program for students interested in exploring the intersection of music, sound, science, and technology. This unique camp is designed to provide participants with hands-on experience in music innovation and design thinking principles. Campers will be introduced to various aspects of the music industry like production and composition, as well as new frontiers in the creation, processing, and uses of music and sound.

During the camp, students will have the opportunity to design and prototype a personal passion project using learnings from the week. Past projects have included digital music making, a comedic video with original soundtrack, drone show musical scores, and more! Through three stages of exploration, education, and experience, attendees will have the chance to dive deep into musical content that resonates with their interests and skills.

In addition to learning and creating, students will also have plenty of opportunities to collaborate with their peers and have fun. They will participate in group performances, enjoy guest concerts, and engage in team-building activities.

At the Composing Innovation Camp, attendees will gain valuable skills and insights into the exciting world of music, sound, and technology, while also having an unforgettable summer experience.

Students do not need any prior knowledge/skills nor do they need to have an instrument. Students are welcome to bring their instruments if they would like to use them in their project and in select sessions.
